Hi all.. Frank asked me the other day if there was a cable made up to plug into the 5 pin headet socket to allow a standard MP3 type of earbuds to be used on the Voyager.. Well stock wise, there isnt.. So i made one up for him.. Im sending it to him today as he is my "Beta tester" for this.. If it works and there is no interference, I will be able to make up to order.. I have ordered some 5 pin plugs in..
For those that dont have the headset Y cable, I can make up a cable to allow you to use the headphones without it and plug into the cable from the radio with the yellow band on it. It would just mean you would have to remove the headlight to get to it and thread the cable through,

I received the cable from Pete today and it is just what I needed, not having speakers in the helmet. When I first plugged it in, and hit the HS button on the radio, without the bike running, I heard a background noise, like a waterfall, or white noise or whatever. But rotating the left outer knob button CCW mostly eliminated the noise. And never having speakers in the helmet, I'm not sure that is not a normal noise.
After firing the bike up, I could not hear any background noise at all, I'm sure it is still there, I just can't hear it, and the radio comes in crystal clear. It suits my needs perfectly, and nicely made, looks good, and I am not in any sort of business with Pete, but thanks Pete.

I've got that cord thru Air Rider. Plugs into the 5-Pin plug. Retail is $36.00
