Just a shout out for Pete Franchi's radio repair service

Post by OnAVoyage »

I want to publicly thank Pete for going above and beyond to help me get a rebuilt radio installed before my first four-day outing with the Bay State Voyagers. I was able to join the conversation with my fellow riders as a result of Pete's excellent service.

My radio and CB started to turn itself off and on about ten days before the weekend ride, and when I contacted Pete, he did everything he could to get me going on time. This included sending me a refurbished unit before he even got mine (with my agreement to reimburse any unforeseen extra repairs my unit would need, of course.)

Pete continued to help me with removal and replacement instructions and a PDF operating manual for the unit (who would guess that the [ME] button was the secret to setting the time on the clock?) He responded to several phone calls and multiple emails in the whole process, and is now assisting me with a new wiring-harness issue (related to the radio, of course.)

I highly recommend Pete for any of your radio/CB repair needs. :bravo:

Thank you Kind Sir... I aim to please.. :-)

Still working on a few ideas... and although there wont be a Ride to Ripley this year, if anyone is in the Virginia area and wants to see the leaves change here (2nd week Oct normally best) you are more then welcome to "ride in" if you are in the Radford (not far from Roanoke/blacksburg/Christiansburg) area I81 exits 109 and 105.. Stop in, whet your whistle and chew the cud. I have a garage and a spare room.
Just give me a little notice..

Cheers and beers..

Pete
