Pete, our radio guru can mod your radio with a jack for your I-pod, he can also make it where the time is showing instead of the radio channel and even change the color of the display to match your bike, all for cheaper than a good radio and you keep your handle bar controls, he did mine and lots others here. He goes by suzib6sw on here. Phone 540-391-0884

Yup.. just give me a call..
The major issue with a radio change to non OEM is that you WILL loose all associated handlebar controls, Automatic volume with speed increase/decrease, intercom (if used ) and more to the point, there is nothing short of a marine radio, that's waterproof..

Also bear this in mind..
These radios are still going strong after 26 years.. Clarion built them well and although they have their share of issues, I mainly see broken tape belts.. That , to me, is a pretty good testimony of the design..

I have a PDF of down to remove in pictures (also in the tech tips forum) and I can "lessen your Pain" with a refurb with a refund for your core .. I still prefer to work on your original as its cheaper to do that, but you have options..

Turn round is literally overnight..
Cheers..

Pete
