Re: Honda throwback
I just sold my '79 CB750K, last Fall. It reminds me of it quite a bit. This model is not only air-cooled, though, it has a factory Oil Cooler under the triple-tree, which was a very good idea on the DOHC models, as mine ran its oil at 250 F, routinely, with just air cooling. The 3.9 gallon tank is a bit small. It really is a throw-back to the CB750's line, but this model is very much updated, not to mention more powerful, at 1100 cc's, and EFI. Spendy, though, for me. Would be a fun test ride, though...
Cheers!

Re: Honda throwback
I love the chrome fenders. To me when motorcycles went to plastic body colored fenders they lost their charm. Chrome just screams, "LOOK AT ME"

Re: Honda throwback
I remember when I had my CB750 it WAS the Badd azz on the street, now in 1100cc still not so bad, but would be a blast to ride I bet. I agree about the fenders, metal and shiney.

Re: Honda throwback
That takes me back. I had the CBF 750 in silver and blue with matching blue saddle, with Hondaline fairing . Still wondering why on earth I sold it.

Re: Honda throwback
About 15 years ago I got a 750 Honda automatic . It was a basket case with lots of extra parts including an extra engine . Got it running and sold all the extra parts on e-bay . Made enough when I sold it to upgrade to a 82 goldwing . Didn't like that , sold that on e-bay and made enough to make a good down payment on an 85 Harley . Sold that after a few years and got a 02 Harley FLTH Classic that was reposessed for book price that was all chromed out . Made a few bucks when I got disabled to pay the bills and took a 2003 Kawaski 1600 Vulcan classic on a trade . Wife woudn't ride it so I sold that on e-bay and made a few bucks . Had some money and reserched what I wanted next and found that the Voyager XII was what would fit our riding needs and comfort . Looked on e-bay and found a 88 up in Maine , bought it and was money ahead . Will maybe be the last bike I ever buy and it's an 88 model . I put a Voyager trike kit on it last year . All I owned up till 15 years ago was smaller Honda 's .

Re: Honda throwback
The new 1100 is an awesome looking bike. I'm heading down to sit on one as soon as the CB500F makes it to the showroom floor. I want to see it, too.
