Batteries
Well I think my battery finally failed after 4 years. I was sitting at a railroad crossing listening to my MP3 and shut off my engine for a long train. Tried to start and the battery was dead. Ended up pushing the bike around and coasted down a hill and popped the clutch to restart. Wanted to ride to work the next day so bought a battery at Wally world. I was just wondering is there a cross reference of different manufactureer batteries so I can choose a good battery for a good price.

Re: Batteries
I was actually interested to see if Interstate makes a compatible Battery. I am stuck with the Walmart battery for now. I have heard that there not very good. I guess when this one fails I will get Napa battery. The price seems to be OK.
Re: Batteries
I've got a Odyssey PC680 that I have had for three years now. No complaints at all so far.
Re: Batteries
I put the Interstate AGM battery in my voyager and love it!!! The only thing I had to do was hook the battery sensor to the Positive post because this is a sealed battery no acid levels to watch. The price was about $88.00. RCK

Re: Batteries
I bought mine on-line. I will have to dig up the receipt to verify. I also cut the wire and hooked it to the battery to eliminate the battery light coming on.
On-line price including shipping was a saving of over $50.00 compared to my closest dealer and they are an hour away and not friendly. Most all of my purchases for bike are on-line, and all of my Voyager purchases are from Carl Leo.

Swim, bike, run; sounds like fun!!!!

Re: Batteries
I bought an AGM from Batteries Plus, and it only lasted a couple of years, and didn't seem any more powerful than a standard battery.
This year I bought an Interstate sealed battery. It is made by Yuasa and was around $80. It has noticeably more power and capacity than other batteries I have used.
Just proves that Yuasa has always been the best batteries for bikes. I have never had any problems with Yuasas.

Re: Batteries
Knock on wood but my battery is working fine!
But for future sake, is there a higher CCA rating battery that will fit and work in the XII?
I have checked the site that Firchin provided and it looks like they have two 300 CCA & 350 CCA. Gary and other will attest that late fall and early spring in PA can give you surprisingly chilly temps and I don't want to be left "out in the cold" with a battery that won't start the bike. Mine isn't kept in a heated area so it's exposed to the same temps as outside.
and yes I know it's still July!

Re: Batteries
I just asked my auto mechanic to special order an Interstate maintenance free battery for the Voyager and he was happy to do so at his cost, plus tax. $90 or so if I remember correctly. Works great and I don't worry about battery problems.
