Crash Bars
I have tried everything to get my front crash bars to look decent. Unfortunately they are rusted and pitted beyond repair.
Anyone have a good set they would like to part with?

Re: Crash Bars
Chuck, do you mean Part# 55020 & 55020A?
If so, I know I have one, maybe a set, but I got to go check?

Re: Crash Bars
Chuck, I haven't poked through my box of "parts" yet, to many things going on here, but, the "loose" one with my "extra" exhaust systems and saddlebag hardware is a Port side Crash bar. I will try and get to the parts bin tomorrow and see if I have the Starboard crash bar and let you know!?

Re: Crash Bars
Can't believe it, only the second time dropping a bike and both times at very slow speed.PKarl wrote:Just buy new ones from Kawasaki 80 bucks to have brand new cant beat it
More reasons to go progressive on the rear of my 2003 XII. I had loaded up for the second leg of my trip to Colorado and was leaving my son's house in New Mexico near Albuquerque on I40. I noticed I was sitting a little lower than usual, but since I had stacked up things over where my pump was, I thought that I could make it (after all it was mostly freeway).
Well I found on a map a road that connected to I25 through a town called Villinova (spelling?) and decided to go that way. Started out as mostly straight roads till the last 10 miles and they were twisties through farm country and canyons (small ones). I got into a corner a little too fast and hit pegs on the left which bounced me back up and I tried to run it out on a driveway. Wrong answer! I hit talcum powder fine dirt and went down, although very slowly. I rolled off and tried to lift it up. Too much weight behind the seat, so while unloading 2 guys stopped by (thanks JR and Paul) and helped me.
Anyway, added air now (after all i had taken everything off to get it upright) and got on my way (Pride only thing hurt I thought). I noticed my right highway peg was loose so when I stopped for gas 1/2 hour later I looked into it. Oh, it sits higher and back further. Then I saw why, I had moved the engine guard up and back. Ride-able though so got to my destination.
When opening it up I found that the guard would have to be straightened, but not by me with the tools at hand.
All that to say, I think buying one is my best choice, but will have to wait till I get home. After meetings this week, I will be heading on to near Portland, OR as my step-dad passed away yesterday evening. I will be calling today to see if my mom needs me there sooner (if so, I will head out asap). Last I talked to her, Dad was slipping away, but she didn't think I needed to drop everything as plenty of family was around and I was just there a few weeks ago when he and i were able to talk.
Anyway, thanks for all the Voyager family support as well as the tech help. If someone has the 55020-1213 right side guard that is in good shape, I would be interested, but I did find one for $80 so will order it if a better one isn't available.
Bike can go, so time and such makes this wait though, as i said earlier.
