I have been told to ask for a Voyager Genius from Florida

Post by KevinS71 »

Over the Fourth of July weekend while I was sadly still stuck caged, I ran across 2 people out enjoying their Voyagers, 1 with a 1992 like mine who suggested I get on here to find a man from Florida who they told me is close to being the Voyager knowledge master. I am trying to enlist help looking for parts for my 1992 that are matching without needing paint. I was in a lay down accident on I5 in Tacoma on May 17 and am just now to the point I am able to begin repairs to get my bike back to pre-wreck condition, but I require both upper and lower right side fairings. I have found many fairings, but all are incorrect in color and I am hoping someone here may know where I can acquire the correct parts (painting them black will be easy, matching the blue not so much). Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have included an image of my bike from better times. I can be reached at nokoose@yahoo.com, thanks again.

You came to the best place. Look for Carl Leo. He has more years on the Voyager than most anyone. Service and parts manager for a Kawasaki Dealership in Memphis for years. Is a good source for replacement parts. Just posting here is a good start.

P.S. Carls contact info is listed at the beginning of most forum sections.

You are speaking of Carl Leo. His contact info is found in several places . I think it might be a "sticky" at the top of this forum. If not, go to the AVA homepage. I know it is listed there for sure. His e-mail is voyagerparts@bellsouth.net (if I recall it correctly).

Carl doesn't have the inventory of parts he once had. You might check with Rick near Kansas City or post a "want ad" in the classifieds section of the AVA website.

P.S.S. You got a nice looking 92 or 93, there. Also love your Jim & Mary's (AKA Custom Fabrications) arm Rests. Folks would pay a respectable price to have those. (Jim and Mary went out of business many years ago. Many other suitable arms rest available, but none as good as Custom Fab's)

Sent you a PM. with some information. Nice looking bike , and Bill is correct about the Custom Fab's products. Great people and great stuff that they used to sell at the rallies.

They stopped making them right around 2004.

Voyagerparts@bellsouth.net 731-413-8666 will get you hooked up with the Guru of XII's and the nicest man you will ever talk to. He lives just a tick north of Daytona and is enjoying life, if he don't answer just leave a message and he will get back with you, kinda hard to pickup a phone with a fishing pole in on hand and a cool drink in the other. :gig:

Carl Leo has retired from working on XII's though I'm told he still has many parts for sale. . . if you can get a hold of him. His contact info is no longer listed on the forum.
