Looking for Articles for the Voyagers Voice

Post by HMB Don »

This is the first of many requests to come. Working on getting the next Voyagers Voice ready to go to print.

Here is what I need:

Ride Articles, with pictures, it can be just a fifty mile ride to a several week ride covering many miles. If the ride put a smile on you face, then I'm sure that we all would enjoy reading about your ride. Last, include a head shot of the author.

100,000 mile riders, there were four at the AVA rally Logan. If you haven't sent an article please do. If you have 100,000 miles on your motorcycle please send me an article. Remember pictures.

I would like to showcase a motorcycle in these classes, 1200, 1300, 1700, any brand, Trikes, and Sidecars.

Affiliate Voyager Chapter clubs; I need info about what's going on in the club, with photos, of president and club members.

This is your newsletter so lets make it about you the members. If your not a member, now would be a good time to become a member so you too can see yourself in print.

We have many members that don't visit the forum, please pass this information on to them.

Where to send all of this information my email is listed on the AVA board page.

I have 100,000 miles on the bikes in the garage combined. Does that count?

It counts to you, but for the patch and to join the 100,000 club you have to accumulate those miles on one motorcycle. Showing off the endurance of the rider and motorcycle.

I guess I will have to see if I can get there on the Concours since it will definitely be the bike that gets me to the rest of the lower 48 and beyond. Just need to tweak the seat and install the electronic cruise control.

Good post david...... since the logan rally, our concourse has barely left the shop,my son was "sure" this was the bike he wanted to tour on !! Don't get me wrong.... this bike performed perfectly !!!! but the seat and lack of highway pegs, seems to have changed this young mans choice of bikes for road trips !!! In all honesty..... I can't ride the "connie" across town without it shang-high'n my nads,,,,,,,,,,, I give him alot of credit for ridin it all the way to the rally and back! Needless to say... I now have a perfect connie, with 10k miles on it that is now for sale. I will ride my voy12 to the 2014 rally, he claims he would be better off riding his zrx 1100, there.... I think he will learn another of life's lessons !!! :Cball :gig: tony....................
90% OF ANY JOB ...IS GETTING STARTED !

Many riders have modified their Concours to be more upright 'touring' bikes with risers, modified seats, and even highway pegs. I prefer the sport touring riding position and have put myself in that position when riding my Voyager XII and even on the 1700 when on long rides. My Voyager 1700 is my winter bike and wife hauler.

Over on the Concours Forum you will see what guys have done to there 1st gen Concours. Some even put Mean Streak rear wheels on them as well as all the mods Steve in Sunny Florida created.
