It's that time of year again

Post by gearheadfla »

Hello to all
I would like to put out some info about a toy run I am proud to be a part of,
On Dec 1st we will be have our 7th annual St. Lucie County Toy Run, it leaves Best Buy Victory on US1 in Ft. Pierce Fl at 11am, where we will take a 40 mile ride along the Indian River to Jensen Bch Fl, then back north on A1A for a ride with the beach on one side and the river on the other back to Ft. Pierce, back over the river and through town ending at the Police Athletic League Park, where we will be met by 5 live bands, venders and displays. Last year we had 1249 bikes in the run, it is police escorted and non-stop and the cost is $5.00 per person and a new unwrapped toy (no stuffed animals please) and keep in mind the teenagers 13 to 16 please. Line up starts at 9am at the Victory dealership and kickstands up at 11am. All we ask is to make sure you have enough fuel to make the 40 mile trip (yes we have had bikes run out of gas during the run) there will be a support truck with a trailer following the run with gas if someone has a problem and will tow you to either the park or somewhere to get you help. If you come on the Saturday before the run I will personally take you out for a ride on any 2014 Victory you would like to ride, or all of them if you want, 100% free as many time as you want, this will also be done on Sunday at the park, the Victory test ride truck will be there both days (the same one from Daytona and Sturgis) This year we are planing for 1500 bikes to attend and this has become one of the biggest and best toy runs on the east coast. If you need any info feel free to contact me, there is nice affordable hotels in the area for those that would like to make a weekend of it.
Things will begin to wind down around 4pm giving you plenty of time to make the ride home before it gets to dark. This is a great event and I am proud to be a part of it, remember, if we get 1500 toys, that will be 1500 kids who would not be getting anything for Christmas very happy when they wake up that morning, all toys stay local here and given out by local LEO, all the money raised goes to the PAL to help keep kids off the streets. Thank you for you time and hope to see you there. Doug, if you would like to help out with the test rides again just let me know, but I know how bad you hated riding new motorcycles for free last year. lol
