Re: Can Heated Gear output be boosted?
It can ,but you're not riding a BMW K1600GTL or Honda GoldWing 1800 so you have limitations with the ZG1200. Best bet is to layer , first I use my Under Armour long sleeve then I put on my Gerbings Jacket Liner , then a Hooded Sweatshirt followed by my coach's warm up jacket then my jacket liner then my First Gear Kilamanjo Jacket. Then I attach the other heated gear in a similiar manner. Also heated grips with the heated gloves works wonders. I'm not sure if my Voyager would crank at -24 degrees, it did crank over at 2 degrees this morning though. Good Luck and safe riding on the snow

That's cold! Even here in Sacramento (Near sea level) it was 33 degrees yesterday morning at 0830 hrs.

Re: Can Heated Gear output be boosted?
This winter's giving me cabin fever. Here in central TX, winter has already gone on twice as long as last year. We're into day 4 now

Re: Can Heated Gear output be boosted?
Lived in Mound MN for 32 yrs and rode most all the time, coldest was -22below , 22mi to work in Mlps. Snowmobile suit and bubble shield, eyes froze shut at a stop sign once. My dad drove to work on morning and saw a single track in the snow all the way to work, couldn't figure it out, he worked about a block from me. I did't tell him that was my Triumph track, he would have committed me!! We rode on Lake Minnetonka all winter. I would race snowmobile riders on the lake for a drink. Never lost. Guess why I live where I live now!!!...debron wrote:I don't know. . . .we have some pretty die-hard types here!voyager55 wrote:I was kidding, Nobody would ride in those temps

Re: Can Heated Gear output be boosted?
I would say the coldest I have ridden in was -8 degrees, for only about 20 miles. A couple weekends ago , I rode 360+ miles in temps between 16 degrees and 29 degrees for the entire trip. My feet did get cold. Currently the ice is keeping me from riding. I didn't think you were joking , since I know many riders that ride in cold temps. Several have Ural Sidecar rigs for snow duty. Oh well, be safe .
