iPod Cable To Short

Anyone have an issue with the Kawasaki iPod Adapter Cable being to short when inserted into the rubber holder?

No, I though that it was to short until I started using the cable. I insert the Ipod from the bottom of the foam case.

I did have to remove the plastic pocket and run the connecter and wiring harness up through the small hole in the plastic pocket. Now the connecter sits inside at the bottom of the plastic pocket.

My connectors were always inside the pocket.

I too connect the ipod and then put it in the foam and insert the foam into the pocket.

I stopped using the foam about a year ago. I got one of those tiny iPod nanos. I put some Velcro on the back of the iPod and on the top of the compartment. It just sticks to the top, which means that you have room to put other stuff in the compartment. Eliminating the foam fixes the short cable problem.

If I were to do it over I wouldn't buy an iPod. I would buy a GPS with stereo MP3 player and wire that into the bike. That way you can take the $250 it cost to buy an iPod and cable and put that toward a motorcycle GPS.

iPods are the biggest waste of money IMO since all cell phones come with MP3 players, and you can get GPS devices with MP3 players.

If you really want one I will sell you my gen 5 iPod Nano and cable loaded with $600 in classic rock MP3s.
