Low cost Battery Maintainer
Im pretty sure Wal-***t has the price wrong as this beastie is anything from $25 upwards..
but its at the above mentioned site at $15 at the moment plus tax..

Looks ok to me as a maintainer/float and actual 1.5 amp charger.. I have ordered one to charge the GF's Harley while I use a bigger model on the Voyager..
I cant build one for that price!
Cheers..
Pete

I appreciate the Battery Tender Jr's. Have two that serve me quite well.

Re: Low cost Battery Maintainer
I use a HF .75 amp tender, no issues so far and it was less than $15.00 with the 25% discount coupon. I ride so much that I really don't need to use one much. Only for the cold snaps that we get and those only last for a few days to a week, with a few weeks of riding weather in between.

Re: Low cost Battery Maintainer
I took Doug's lead and went to Harbor Freight, got their's for under $10, 2 1/2 years later still working perfect, so I got another one for the Nomad, but haven't put it on yet.

Re: Low cost Battery Maintainer
I use a Stanley maintainer that I bought at Menards. I cant find it on their website but here is the same one at Lowes. http://www.lowes.com/pd_328608-89606-BC ... Id=3275887.
It comes with the standard alligator clamps but also has a cord you can permanently attach to the battery. I leave the plug just hanging out of the side cover so I can quickly plug/unplug it.

Re: Low cost Battery Maintainer
I got a Black and Decker Maintainer at walmart well over 10 years ago. Still works great and I've dropped it several times also. Don't remember what it cost but I know it was cheap.

Re: Low cost Battery Maintainer
The Yuasa 12v 900ma Smart Shot tender is a very good unit as well. These have lasted for years charging my bikes. I have found them for about $25.
