Well to be quite honest here in Germany the worst thing about riding in the winter is not how cold it gets or even how icy the roads can get. No it's the amount of salt they put on the road!
And that my friends can really corrode the bike! Which is why I stop cleaning the bike I use in the winter in the Autumn (Fall) so that the salt cannot get through the thick dirt layer!!!
