Re: Our "new" bikes
Very nice looking bikes! It looks like picture #3 is Sharlene's '01 so that means your '91 is the one in front of the alligator sign, yes? It's a custom color/paint job. Did your repaint it or a previous owner? Looks good!

Re: Our "new" bikes
Hi Ron
Thanks for the comments! Yes, the '01 is Sharlene's. Mine was owned from day one by a dealer in Wisconsin who later retired and moved to Florida. He changed the color back when it was new. I guess the '91 color option didn't too much for him! roll
The '01 has 35,000 and the '91 has 30,000. We have owned many bike over the years and when we decided to get "real" touring bikes, we found that the Voyager sits "lower" than most others. Sharlene doesn't have a problem but I need to be just a little closer to the ground!!
Since I do all my own maintenance, it just seemed logical to get two bikes that are basically the same (mechanically). Our search turned up the "91 in Ocala, Fl. and the '01 was in Knoxville, Tn.

Re: Our "new" bikes
SWEET!
Ken your two bikes are the same (with exception of color & shocks)! Not sure if anyone mentioned on another thread for you but when changing the oil remember that there are two drain plugs plus the internal filter on each bike. When filling with oil use 3 Qts + 22 Ozs. No more!
They are not going to let you down or leave you wanting for more. These bikes ride like sport bikes, corner extremely well and have such a low center of gravity you won't believe you're on a touring bike.

...WOW .I'm very impressed You weren't B.S.'n when you said they were clean ! I noticed the rear speaker cover bags are still with the bike. very rare.
Enjoy riding them ! I guess your heading west, and the rally is east this year. maybe I'll get the chance to see them in person sometime in the future....tony

Thanks for the nice words! We are leaving for Texas soon and will be there for at least two months. Our daughter is getting married so we will be there for the wedding. We have 3 boys and a girl...the others are already married and this will be our last!!
Our original plan was to leave Texas and head to California to start the True X ride but we have been talking about pushing that back a little. If we do, there is a chance we will run up to the rally. It's always fun to see folks that you meet on these forums. We picked up a Time Out trailer and hope to use it to do a little touring/camping. Maybe cruise up through the Smokies???
We are retired and travel quite a bit (bikes and RV). Our kids refer to us as their "gypsy" parents as we never know where we will be.
We will be running down to Bike Week in Daytona on Monday (just for the day)...maybe we will see some Voyager folks???
Ken and Sharlene
P.S. Check out this link if you get a minute??? We are numbers 36 and 37...
