Well I tell ya, by the end of the 25th AVA International Rally you all will know.

Finally made our hotel reservation today, Mary Jane and I will be arriving in Asheville on Monday July 7th. This will be our 12th rally with the AVA and we are looking forward to seeing old friends and making some new ones.

I stopped by the Crown Plaza Resort today, too see for myself if it was worth the price of the rooms. The outcome is YES, great rooms and the amenities we on par with a resort. So between the rides we'll be able to swim, work out in the gym, play a round of golf or talk motorcycles.

The AVA has a block of 80 rooms, with John's reservation and ours there are 41 rooms reserved. So get those rooms reserved. The price of rooms; AVA block of rooms is $105.00 per night, after the block of rooms has been filled the rate will be $175.00 per night if they're available . So get those reservations made ASAP.

All of the events will be held at the Crown Plaza Resort. Registration, venders, meals (except the pre-rally dinner, but the ride to the dinner will start from the Crown Plaza Resort), bike show, light show, skill games and maybe a bike wash station. There's a wonderful brunch everyday $10.99 per person and a restaurant on site.

and Thursday, Sunday and Monday is $175 it's that OK?

Should be Monday night ---> Thursday night, 4 nights. I got the $105 rate M-Th. I tried for Sunday but was quoted the $175 even with my AARP card!

I also reserved in Jan. at the same price as you mentioned. Did'nt know how fast the rooms might fill up, and we were definately going anyway, so book early I figured ! CAN'T WAIT to pack up the bikes and GO !!!!!......tony

Monday night pre-rally dinner; remember to bring you dancing shoes cause we'll all be rock and rolling.

Anyone wanting to ride the Dragon, I plan in leading a ride on Tuesday morning. Departing 7 am have you fuel tanks full. Two wheel, three wheels come on this will be a fun day ride 200 plus miles, which will also include Foothills Drive which is east of the Dragon on 129, over to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Dolly Wood. We'll just ride through and then back to Asheville via I 40. By this time you have had enough of the winding back roads.

On Friday departure day NorCal will be riding the Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville to Wytheville, VA 200 miles of the Parkway. We'll be staying in Wytheville, at the Americas Best Value Inn.
