New versus Used Other Brands (Poll expired)
Ok, Poll time again! This will apply to riders of other brands (Non-Voyager, Non-GoldWing). As usual, only registered users can vote, and one vote only. If you have more than one bike, answer for just one of them. Poll will last 10 days. Thanks!

Re: New versus Used Other Brands (Non Voyager, Non GoldWing)
I have only purchased used bikes. I let someone else deal with the very bad depreciation, and I don't need the latest and greatest of everything.
Yes, I would prefer fuel injection on my motorcycles, and I may do that on my SV650S, but not going to fight the hassle with my old Voyager, unless someone has an easy swap already figured out.

Swim, bike, run; sounds like fun!!!!

Re: New versus Used Other Brands (Non Voyager, Non GoldWing)
I normally buy used because the local dealers are very difficult to deal with on a bike. No test rides on a new model is difficult to swallow. I tell the dealer that if I find a used one to test ride, and it is worth the money they are asking, I am going to buy the used one.
With that said, out of my past 6 bikes, I bought the '07 Ninja 650 new. The only reason was because the dealer who had the used one I was bidding on ebay, sold it out from under me, and then offered me a deal on a new one that I could not refuse.

In 1980 I bought a brand new KZ1000 MK II at auction from a bank who had taken over a dealership's inventory.
Wish I still had it. You can see a pic in my 'Motorcycling Evolution' album by clicking the WebShots link below.
All my other bikes were purchased as 'previously ridden'.
