Rider was my choice. Had subscription for many years but had to cancel it last year when my vision started going south.

Re: What is your favorite motorcycle magazine?
MC News is about the only one that really evaluates and compares anything....Rider gives lots of 'views' ....usually sounding more like glorified ads, but for rides and pics I think it's hard to beat RoadRUNNER....

Re: What is your favorite motorcycle magazine?
longtime subscriber to Rider , Cycle World , Motorcyclist , MCN , BMWMOA , and various other magazines, I enjoy reading the Rider articles, would agree on the Roadrunner magazine pics, it is hard to say my favorite magazine. Probably American Iron is the most enjoyable to read ,with articles , with Rider in second place.

Sarge, Sorry for taking over you topic, but I turned it into a real voting poll!
BTW, I don't read any motorcycle magazine unless there happens to be one at the dentist's office waiting room or some such!

Re: What is your favorite motorcycle magazine?
Cycle World for facts, Rider for the amount of talk about touring machines. Don't really seek them out like I used to. Have been touring bike fan even when I was a teenager, and really find that segment as far as new bikes go, pretty boring right now. The field was far more diverse 20 years ago than it is now.

Just one Roadracing World. Cycle was the best of the rest followed by Cycle Guide, Cycle World and Road Rider. I read Rider for ten years and then just stopped reading it?

RideTexas. Great little mag. Comes out 4 times a yr. Has maps, places to eat & not very much in advertising. Getting more but really focused on where to ride, things to see & places to eat. Did I mention, places to eat???

Like Ron Riggs, I don't subscribe to any MC Mag, but I DO read this :
http://www.webbikeworld.com/Reviewed-mo ... oducts.htm
They seem to cover just about anything MC related, kinda like Consumers Reports for MC !

Re: What is your favorite motorcycle magazine?
Yeah I agree w Neal. I once read in a letter to the (MCN) editor that it seems that most MC mags are written by 24 year olds for a 14 year old audience. - and I agree with that also.Neal wrote:MC News is about the only one that really evaluates and compares anything....Rider gives lots of 'views' ....usually sounding more like glorified ads, but for rides and pics I think it's hard to beat RoadRUNNER....

Re: What is your favorite motorcycle magazine?
I know this is old, but I read rider mag for years, and then it seemed to change where it became more about the bike than the ride.
I found a copy of roadrunner while in an airport, and have been hooked since. I have used their shamrock tour writeups on several occasions and incorporated their routes, stops, and eateries into several trips.

Re: What is your favorite motorcycle magazine?
If I happen to come across a magazine like "Canadian Biker", "Hoosier Motorcyclist" (Indiana ABATE), etc, I'll read through them. However, 99% of my reading is on forums like this one. Otherwise, I'd rather be on the road.
BTW: "Easy Riders" was my favorite one in high school & college, and still holds a special place in my heart. Of course I only read the articles.
