New member, new 1986 Voyager XII owner as of 3:00 this afternoon!
Between getting a hitch installed on my Escape, getting money out of my savings account at the bank, looking over and test riding the bike at the owner's house some 25 miles away, renting a cycle trailer from U-Haul, shuttling back to load the bike, driving home in rush hour traffic, then back out to return the trailer, stopping at Pep Boys to get oil and a filter (I hope Rotella T 15W-40 is what I remember reading here?) and then to the Currency Exchange to tranfer the title and get a temp license plate? I calculate a 10-1/2 hour investmentment of my Monday, but at last it is safely in my home garage and I some have eats on the stove. (missed lunch I reckon)
only 32K on the odometer and in general VERY good shape, everything works, and tomorrow it will get a cleaning and oil change -3qts, 22oz total. Some MMO in the oil and some Seafoam for the gas tank and then some riding as soon as the weather allows.
First impressions, surprisingly nice and low seat (lower than my '82 GL500I) gobs of power and very smooth handling quite comfy and agile. I can hardly wait to get it out for a couple hundred mile test ride.
Will post pics once I get it cleaned up nice.
