Re: Temp Gauge
There is a known problem with the ground wire not grounding well on the temp gauges for the Voyager XII's.

Re: Temp Gauge
Common problem. Mine worked fine then one day it didn't. It's addressed in the Tech Section of the main website. It's probably a bad ground and you can fix it by adding a ground wire from the thermostat housing to a good ground on the bike. Here's a drawing showing where to attach the wire on the housing:

Re: Temp Gauge
The thermostat is mounted with rubber hoses so it is not grounded very well. Also the bullet wire connector just above the bottom of green circle in the above thread drawing, becomes loose from vibration and makes poor contact. Make sure it has a tight fit and also if you follow that wire to the right just inside the fairing it connects is another connection that can get loose or corroded. The new ground wire can go directly to the - negative side of the battery for best operation.

Re: Temp Gauge
The wire is black with yellow stripe I think/ just going by my bad memory. If you can't find it then it is not hooked up therefore temp gauge won't work . You should be able to see fitting coming out of the bottom of the t-stat hsg on the right of the main body of it. See item # 9 (the right angled hose) on the bottom side of the piece that the hose connects to is where the sensor is mounted and the wire just plugs into the end of it. sensor comes straight down from the hsg. Look under battery tray area to the right and see if you can find the wire it may have just disconnected and is laying on top of engine or see if you can find a empty connector on the right side it may have become unpluged and you need a new wire.
