The seat on Carl's bike looks like the Diamond Custom seat that I sold him. As I recall they are made in Florida.

I never found it to be as comfortable as I wanted for my bony rear end so I sent my original seats to Terry Adcox and had them reworked and am much happier. Had I been closer to Florida I would imagine that they would have worked to custom fit it to me but I didn't want to drive 1200 miles one way to have it done.

...O.K.Thanks for the info. Reason for asking was, cause I sent Carl a P.M. back when that photo first appeared ,asking him what brand of seat that was ,and he replied that it was a Hartco. After spending nearly $400.oo to Russel,(for just the front seat) I find it to be too hard, and they said that it was as soft as I could expect ! My stock seat was better in that department......tony :-D

So, whats the deal on these on ebay? Plain, but I don't have the box anymore so solid would be ok. Some design would be nice. Comfy feature?

No. He can do the diamond stitch to match your passenger backrest. Look at his website and you can see some of the stitch patterns. At no additional charge. And it is custom made to your height and weight.

I would suggest you call him and tell him what you want. He is very easy to deal with.

...This topic of seat selection seems to be a very "touchy" topic of discussion ! What some people
like.... other people ....hate. Only speaking from first hand experience...I spent the big bucks on russel....and waited longer than the time they stated to get my seat back.
(thanks to CARL LEO for loaning me a seat while I waited ) then, what I received, was to say the least
a disappointment . Now ...I realize that everyone that loves their russel ,will state differently here !
Be patient ,,,and attend a rally or two, cause every seat maker's product is on someone's bike ,and people in this group are very friendly ,and most guys won't mind if you sit on their bike.
or.... as soon as I find what I'm looking for....YOU can be the proud owner of a very firm russel seat,
cause mine will be up for sale...and it already is the matching color of your bike.....

Image
I like the shape...size and width of the seat......but it is to hard, and I brought this too their attention after the first ride,....they replied that I should ride 1k miles and it would "break in" and soften up 10% ?.............after 8k miles, all I can say is that it IS better than the stock seat.....
So ....give some time and effort to "try ,before you buy" (if possible).........tony :-D

I spoke to Mark at Hartco. The seats on ebay, he doesn't know who this guy is. This ebayer has alot of Hartco seats in his sales. Something strange here. That seat Hartco is asking over $600, with stitching too.

True Custom seats are made for each riders height, Weight. You need to send in pictures sitting on your bike so the seat builder can get a good idea how you fit on your bike. Everyone's fit is different.
You can't buy a used custom seat and expect it to fit you perfectly. That's not the way to buy a custom seat.
I know some brands sell generic custom seats, but I'd never buy one like that.
If you're spending the money be sure the seat is made just for you, nobody else.
