Tourmaster Draft Liner
Hi all. I got this new Tourmaster (tour master - see it both ways) jacket for my wife. It's like new, but it didn't come with the liner (seller listing said it had one).
Does anyone out there have a liner (two stage-water and insulated) for this jacket. It is an XXL mens.
The seller only want to give half back (just enough to cover shipping), but that is not acceptable.
Thought I would try this before dealing with it thru ebay.
Thanks for any response.

Re: Tourmaster Draft Liner
Ebay now has a nice system for dealing with sellers who don't want to hold up their end. I recently got some crash bars that were not the ones pictured, and eBay jumped right in there once I filed a claim. Fortunately my seller was very apologetic and made things right. They do give you about five days to resolve with the seller, but in your case, if the seller doesn't want to abide by his own auction, eBay WILL make him give you a full refund of the item AND shipping, plus make them pay for return shipping if they can't make good on the terms of the auction.
IF you really want the jacket, then I would take his 1/2-back offer and run. Maybe have a local tailor make up the liner you described.

This was in the body of his listing. His pictures didn't show the inside of the coat. listing was:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/261727376550?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
When I requested the liner, he sent this:
My apology for what took place, I did buy it brand new at a bike shop and I sold it to you as I bought it, I did spend close to $20 for ship it to you, I would like to see if you can keep for $40 since its in your hands already. I believe it worth the price and also in good condition, and also at the end of the day I would not be making any money from it, It might just be in better use by you?

So read your listing.....

So, I, after trying to find one on the internet, initiated the return process. He offered $25. I don't believe he plans on paying for the return. Now the jacket is in great shape, but why he bought it without the liner (in New York of all places), I don't know.
I really don't like rocking the boat, but I guess I can counter for full (my $50 back, and he pays shipping), but i doubt he will accept that. I don't know what ebay will do.
I just went through ebay reimbursing me for a tent I won and the guy never shipped just over a month ago. Then got a 5" water resistant GPS case that the screen was so loose it would activate different parts of the gps than where you pushed (i did lose a few bucks on that one).
Anyway, my wife only wore this jacket once, and went back to her Frank Thomas jacket that we found at Goodwill (great shape, but again no liner) cause she says it is more visible (its red). I was thinking silver would reflect the sun better when we get back up into the 90's (I offered to get her a high-vis yellow, but i guess fashion is important) here in PHoenix.
I have an Intake mesh jacket by Tourmaster and it has the two stage liner system (quilted, and a waterproof-ish wind liner. Used it Monday for the ride out to a renaissance fair (50's in morning, upper 70's afternoon). I like the options it gives me, without having to carry a whole other coat.
Nuff said, Thank you for your listening (reading) time.

Re: Tourmaster Draft Liner
Bruce,
Thank you for your words of encouragement. I went again and rejected their offer and also checked with Tour Master for Liners.
The Seller agreed to full refund with shipping.
Tour Master doesn't sell liners except with the jackets (per their email).
I think I will go ahead and just buy her (my wife) a new one and hope she will be happy with it (even though it will cost a lot more.
Any feedback from others on a Warm to hot weather jacket that has liners for rain and cool/cold (50F) riding?
I currently wear a Tour Master Intake and find it serviceable but a little heavy (3xlT).
Thanks again,
Ken

Re: Tourmaster Draft Liner
There is another alternative. Offer the jacket to someone living in the southern states for what you paid for it. Put it in the For Sale section here. With the proceeds purchase another jacket like you need. Down south a lot of us don't use the liners in the jackets we have. It is just too hot when the weather is nice for riding. I have a mesh jacket that came without a liner. I ordered my wife the identical jacket 2 years later and it came with one. Go figure.

Re: Tourmaster Draft Liner
A long time ago I was ripped off for $90 for a rare diecast model I had "purchased". The guy just never shipped it, but kept giving me excuses, trying to run the time limit out for claims, as many sellers tried back then! EBay never did anything about it, and he got away with it. Even PayPal wasn't up to speed on protecting their buyers yet, but they at least said they would watch his account and transfer any funds coming into it to my account until I was paid back. Never saw a dime! I guess he just dried up those accounts and started over. Hell of a way to gain just $90!
Today eBay has really given the buyer some teeth in getting what the seller describes. It has become the seller's responsibility to demonstrate fulfillment of the auction. Sounds like eBay laid down the law to him after you filed the claim. Good for you! Nice looking jacket!

Re: Tourmaster Draft Liner
It is. I wish I could keep it. You would think that here in Phoenix we would never need the liner. Well here in the desert, early and late in the "warm" season, it is pretty cool in the AM and after 9Pm (when I usually go into and come home from work). Example tomorrow, 55F in the morning and 67F when i leave for home. Thats actual, not windchill at 65ish on I10. The mesh is great if the suns out, but not so much after sundown. Anyway, I wish it had come with the liner, or I had found one, but in the time frame of returning, nothing came up in my search.Good for you! Nice looking jacket!
Thanks for the interest,
Ken

Re: Tourmaster Draft Liner
Ken,
I looked at the original listing and in one of the pics it shows a "fishnet" liner in the jacket. Is that the liner it is supposed to have? If so, then he is definitely falling short on what he offered and what he sent.
You've got my interest in this line of jackets now. Do they block wind well? Would they be comfortable in 20 degree temps at 70mph?

Re: Tourmaster Draft Liner
I have a Joe Rocket Phoenix Jacket , gray, men's large with a liner that I would like to sell for $40.00 including shipping. The only reason that it is for sale is because I have switched to a high viz yellow summer jacket. Anyone interested let me know and I will send you a picture.
