So I have a bad water sensor (the one for the gauge, not the fan) and I'm wondering what is the easiest way to get it out so I can replace it. I was able to locate it at the bottom of the thermostat housing but I can't get a wrench around it. Before I rip the bike apart and remove parts I don't need to remove, does anybody have any hints for me????
Thanks for your help!!!

Are you sure the sensor is faulty? A common problem on the XII is a bad ground causing the gauge to not work. Run a ground wire per these instructions and the photo below.

Hey Ron,
I have a Blue 95 that looks just like yours, great looking bike!!!
Yes, I'm sure it's the sensor. I busted the end of it off doing other work on the bike.

...That'll do it! When you do replace the sensor, make sure you have a good ground. Add the ground wire just to be sure.
Sometimes I like the teal color of the '94s and '95s and sometimes I don't. . . but a great bike regardless!

Had to take the whole thermostat housing out. Yup, that was fun. But, it is out now and I'm just waiting for parts to arrive.
