AVA membership

I'm not much of a "group" person or a joiner. I prefer to be a loner and just sit on the sidelines and listen to conversations and watch people interact.

But, I appreciate all the work the admin does to provide us this forum. I figured the least I can do is support their efforts with my dues. Heck, I'll spend more than that on any given night out for dinner!

I used to belong to a sidecar association many years ago, and recently went over to their forums. They recently lost their beloved leader and the new whip-cracker is just downright rude. Also, their dues are $30/year plus another $10 for a second member in the same household, so our $20 dues are more than reasonable. I wouldn't flinch if we needed to increase ours to cover new costs for improvements(?).

The tides of activity on our forum may be daunting to newbies, but just try other forums! We are a beehive of activity compared to that other forum!

You probably won't see me at this year's rally due to my new hip, but you never know! If you see someone just sneaking up to the edge of a group around a campfire and not saying anything, it could be me!

Hey Bruce, Just noticed your name is in green ! Am seeing alot more names in green lately.
Lowering the dues to only $20 was a great move,especially after the vote at last year's rally approving a INCREASE to $ 45 (I think). Like ya said, ONE meal is that much !
Oh yeah.... I got a kick out of your comment about the group around the campfire, and the silent one being you ? ?
