zg 1200 front brake switch

Post by big0078 »

Where in the world can a person get a 91 ZG 1200 front brake switch for the front master cylinder the tabs are loose inside for the brake light cruise part works fine. If you hold wires just right the front switch works low and behold brake lights. Next I have to chase down rear brake switch not working at all. The cruise cancel switch seams to be working.

I have had great luck with an electric contact cleaner sprayed into the front break switch to resurrect faulty operations. If the spade connector are loose, just crimp then with a pair of pliers to make them tighter.

P.S. The switch is the same for all 1200 Voyagers (at least from late 1987 on).
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Alas Bill it's the spade inside the switch not the slip on connector but thanks. The bike is new to me and I'm finding evidence it has been down just not too hard. :bat:

The rear switch may just need adjusting or there is a relay for the brake lights that might be bad.
the relay will be one of them that is above the headlight.
