HOW TO WIRE RELAY'S?

Post by ohiojack »

Former owner wired my driving lights directly to the battery. I had my battery go dead after I forgot to turn off lights. I know I've seen a diagram showing how to wire lights to relays before, but I can't find it. I want the lights to go off when ignition is turned off. Thanks you guys. ohiojack :please:

Behind the headlight there is a spare circuit that is ideal for the extra lights. They are just hanging there ready for use.

See if this makes sense to you ,this is the most common relay out there. and you can even install the relay there behind the headlight if you want, run you power from the battery with the required rated fuse size and the field B+ from the acc wire to activate it. 85/86 are what turn the relay on, one ground one hot... 87a may or may not be there.
