trunk luggage rack

a friend gave me a luggage rack off a harley ultra trunk and looks like it would fit on my 2015 voyager 1700. is this a good move or should i let it go, free is a good price.

Not sure exactly what you are asking. If you are asking whether putting a rack on your bike is a good idea or not is very subjective. I believe some have had to grind the feet on the Harley rack to sit correctly on the bike.

Do not use any loc-tite product around the plastic trunk, and keep loads to a minimum. I have a rack bag on my showchrome rack and Cary rain gear and bike cover. Light but bulky items. No issues in 52,000 miles.

just want to use it to carry raingear and toletries in a small bag and use to to anchor bunje cords to it
