A few things i found at Superfest

Post by broksonic »

Well, Superfest is in Peoria, IL this weekend.

I ended up taking the truck because I was stopping at an auction first.
Ended up getting a motorcycle jack ($45) and a helmet for the Mrs. and 2 bike covers ($2 each!).

ANYWAY.. found a few interesting things at the Superfest.

Image
Picked up 2 of these at $6 each..

Image
Picked up 2 of these at $4 each..
Figured I would use 1 of these sets for some driving lights.

Image
Picked up these three for $40. The come with a back plate. These are waterproof and made for use in motorcycles or boats.

Image
Planned on putting the 3rd one on the right side of the fader switch but it wouldn't fit.
Also there wasn't enough room for the back plates.

This was the scariest cut I had done in quite awhile.

I think it came out pretty good. And I could use the back plate.
I was going to put it in the cruise control unit, but it wouldn't fit there either.

Image
A little dark in the garage.

As soon as I get some lights I will have to try out the "mounts"

A Voltmeter is part of my "standard upgrades" list for every new bike. Had two bikes leave me sitting when the batteries died... Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

The early Voyagers had the tank decal under the clear coat, or at least, my '90 was/is. Not really removable.

I have a silly question. What was/is supposed to be under the door just above the vent on the drivers side? It's just a hole when I open my door. Was there some optional thing concealed below that was not installed on my year 2000?

That hole is for a CB that was offered as an option. There is one occasionally offered on E-bay and they run as high as $450.

That decal came off with pressure washer, so either it was on top or my clear coat is missing :hmm:

Like vxiirider said.. CB slot.. I have a piece of plexi glass cut to fit it as soon as I get some switches for the aux lights, that's where they are going to go...plan on painting the back black to hide the insides.

I did put some driving lights on the bike (some I had laying around) but had to disconnect them as they were drawing WAY to much. Volt meter was only reading 11.4 with them on while I was going down the road at 60mph. Didn't know they were THAT big. Have to put them on my truck so I can see them deer this winter! :Cball
