That bike is just like my '12. I bought mine with 7,000 miles last March for $8500.00. I got a steal as far as I am concerned. It was hard to part with my 98 XII, but even my wife thought it was to good to pass up.

O.K Michael.... just wondering ...since you have had a XII......and your wife gave you the
"green light" on buying the V-twin version of Voyager ? what is your opinion of it ?
I shook loose a bunch of bikes this season......and am considering owning all 3 versions of the Voyager. Have owned a couple of H-D's in my lifetime, and am not a V-twin fan...
but am always willing to expand  .........Your thoughts please,........Tony :-D

Tony, I will say this, I loved my XII!! I am still a believer that Kawasaki should have figured out a way to make the 1400 motor work for the Voyager and made chassis, electronics and suspension upgrades instead of going to the v-twin 1700. I test rode the VV1700 in 2011 and 2012 at the demo days events in Minneapolis and was not sold on the v-twin platform. That being said, I bleed Kawasaki and this was my only option in upgrading to a full touring bike. I would not have minded the Concours, but do not feel it is designed for the 2 up riding I do. Now, am I satisfied with the 1700? Yes! the bike is growing on me and I love the looks of the bike! I put 6,000 miles on this year and have made a few adjustments that are making it better for me. Everyone I ride with is on a Harley and I have to say that at the price I paid, I can only laugh about what they are paying for their rides. The bike does have a few shortcomings to it, but I would say I am very pleased at this point with it.
Mike
