Nothing on the ground up here in Edmonton Canada but it's below freezing by a couple deg. Bike is put away unless it really warms up but that is unlikely.

I could have rode today, but the 2002 I have here needed my attention all day. Weather was sunny but started out at about 45 in the morning.

:cold:

Working with the fuel tank, and flushing it made me keep the garage door open and the heat off. Was happy to get it running so there was some heat coming off the engine........ So I got plenty of fresh air today. Glad there was none of that white stuff heading my way. I still need one more nice day to road test this beast and get it home to the customer.

We got about 4" last night, which wasn't real bad, but it was over the top of the freezing rain we had for about an hour and a half last night!

Lights flickered a few times too. Oh well.. they say by Wednesday back in the 60's here.

Got to about 52 here today, so I took the '84 Voyager 1300 for a 62 mile ride. So sweet, but I forgot how bad the wind can pierce through a jacket and 52 degrees can feel like -100! Was real glad for the adjustable fairing vents to direct a bit of warm air over my legs.

Tony, No heat required, placed a drift pin punch up to it and slowly used one of my many elec. crimp tools to form it back to about 80%. Was happy at that point, with a good flow of fuel. How it even idled with the fuel screws at 3+ turns was amazing. 2-1/4 now and all synced up she idles nice. It will need to be looked after a bit better than the first two owners and have the bowls drained on a monthly basis to be sure all that crap is gone from in the seams of the tank. Carbs are not pristine, some wear and will not make it to 300,000 . But the intake is now going thru the air filter and not from numerous openings. Road test will tell me the true story. More to come on that news. Gene K.

That trip to Kentuck would have been worth it just to be able to sit and stare at her! But, except for the slight slip in the clutch it runs perfect! i swear this is a brand new bike, or somebody set a time capsule over it until I found it.

Been working on mounts for the sidecar. One down, three to go.

I believe this "cartoon" sums up the feeling this bike gives me!

It was 48 degrees Friday and forecast was for 4+ inches of snow.
Pulled the 1300 out to run some errands then took a short ride before getting her under cover again

Bill, I don't believe we have met at any of the previous rallies (maybe I'm wrong)
I see that you hail from the great state of Wisconsin ! how far of a Voyage must you make to hit the Hurley city limits ? ? Geez ....With your 1300.....and Bruce's 1300... and if I have my son rides my 1300 to the rally.....people might think that Kawasaki started making them again !.....3 in the same vicinity (maybe more) if our Canadian friends attend the rally. I am making posts on the "kz.1300.com" forum , trying to get some of those guys to join in on the fun !..........................Tony :-D

Actually I haven't made a rally since Lacrosse ,oh so many years ago.
You may have met 2 or 3 of my brothers though ----- 99 XII,85 1300,86 1300.
I would like to make Hurley this year if I can get all my ducks in a row and my camping gear aired out. It's only about 300 miles from me .
Yes , we do have 3 1300's in the family ,but never seem to be in the same place at the same time ,so we never get a picture of all 3.

I must live in a different Midwest. I woke up to 14 inches in my drive the other day. Temps dropped down to 11 degrees at night. It's supposed to warm up the next few days over the Thanksgiving weekend, but with the salt they have been spreading the past week, and the fact that I need to do brakes really bad, I've decided to put her away for the winter.

...Yes Kirk, I saw that on the news, the snowstorm was a real" hit and miss" kinda thing ,especially in your state ! some places got a couple inches ,and others got over a foot ! you must have been one of the lucky ones  I hope that ...that is it for this winter
