Aiming that way....Couldn't go last year but will see if I can work my schedule around to do it. :thk: Got a couple of other riders in the area who would like to go.

Rick, tell me more about this run. I might have my sidecar rig ready by then. Might be a fun run to go on to see how Cindy likes the car and riding with a group. And, I DO love chili!

Well, you ride 420 miles, if you're in KC, to the middle of nowhere and eat a cheeseburger on a picnic table with a thousand+ other riders. You can stop in Casey and see the world's largest wind chimes, the world's largest golf tee, and I believe the recently installed world's largest rocking chair. It could be sunny, windy, cold, warm, rainy, dry....but it's Moonshine.

This video will give a little idea of the number of bikes. My Voyager (and Rick's old one) are at 1:24.

I have never been as it always seems to fall on my weekend to work. I'm thinking seriously about trying to take the weekend off and getting it done this year. A couple of guys I know who go about every year don't seem to think it will be going on much longer and I want to get there at least once. Will have to wait and see how it plays out...

I was sure hoping to go this year. But, there is always a but, it's the same weekend as the Moto GP in Austin, TX. The Moonshine is still at the top of my list of events to attend.

That is a bunch of bikes! And what looks like mostly touring/trike type. Three streets full if I counted right.
How do you manage something that big, rolling down the hiway? The biggest group I ever saw was a MC club in Warren, Ohio many years ago, probably about 100 or so. Light turned green, guys up front started than stopped for some reason, everyone else just piled into the back of them. What a mess!

Anyway, I would love to attend something like this!

I noticed a couple other XII's but I had to watch the video about 4 times to find the white 1700 that's at the beginning.
Finally found it at the 3:00 minute mark.

I will be there for sure! My neighbor and I have rooms at Moonshine HQ Friday night. If the weather turns bad I may be alone, because I am now wheeling my Toyota Prius until I find a Voyager Trike.
I have to settle for taking pictures of the folks and their bikes! Ha ha
Same meeting place as the last few year?

We'll be staying in Effingham.

Jim, the restaurant on the north end of Effingham, Witts Smokehouse, I guess had a fire and as of the middle of December, hadn't reopened yet. Unsure if they'll be back up and running by Moonshine time.

As we get closer, we'll see if/what everybody would like to do. Plenty of places in Effingham we haven't tried.

Well Hank

If you'd like to go, I could make a Detour and just head east to Cheyenne, then head to Denver have to see mom when I ride within 500 miles of Denver. From Denver to KC meet some of the guys and ride in with the MO/Kan crew. Only thing we'd need is snow gear for Wyo and Colorado? I have good rain gear.

I can see two 1700 thundering down the highway with two gray hairs, smiling. All for a Hamburger.

Well I have my rooms booked just not sure on the route. Not sure if it will be just a direct route to Effingham IL or take a detour and go to Solon OH for a SS1000
