Well , only one part to go and this one will be at Hurley.
Thanks to Carl L. John in Ohio and Richard in Va. for their help with parts for the 2000. Went back together like the accident never happened.

Big thanks to Richard for that added bonus in the lot of items he needed to get rid of. It was a good trade off , he had radio issues, so I took down a complete system for his bike. And he unloaded the 2000 parts to me..

The seat feels real nice and gives me just the eyeball lift over the tipity-top of the windscreen that I have been looking for.

right side mirror from Carl for a quality left side mirror from me. Another great trade off.

I am looking at a road test this weekend, if I have to cut my toes off to fit into my new boots.
I would have been in trouble if I didn't have that rear frame section.
Darn near ripped that upper nut-plate off the frame tube.

For those that went to the Estes Park rally last year will remember the location of this photo, near to the Rocky Mountain Park Inn headquarters.
If part of a mountain is in the way of a road....move it !

Geeze, it's been 11 days since any pics were posted of the pre-rally activities. And, I KNOW that some of you have been on the road for a week and a half now. So,...where are all the pics? Some of us that can't be there need our daily fix of pics, ya know! I am quite sure there has already been a lot of drinkin', singin', lyin', ridin', shinin' and showin'. What do I have to do? Post some of my old touring pics?
BTW, that is so impressive, Gene, that you got you and your bike back in such perfect shape in such a short time! I think that deserves a special trophy at the show-n-shine event! Maybe even one for the bike, too!

OK, the rally has been officially over for two days, and not one rally pic yet. What? Are you punishing the rest of us for not making it? I wanna see Gene receiving his trophy(s), and Tony playing his guitar, and Brad taking a fall during the games. Oh, that's right, I did see the pic that Me Again posted of all the bikes together, and a 1300 right in the middle of the front row. How about Don's 1700 and Trish's trike? And all the rest?

I got home yesterday safe and sound. I have several photos on my phone as I did not bring my SLR this year. I have not had time to upload them yet because I came home to grinding breaks on my wifes car that needed my attention. I promise I will see what I can do tonight.

will post more pictures in the following days, kinda beat from the trip and un-packing, Sorry Bruce, had no room in the van this year to pack my guitar with all the people and their stuff,(but I did play for the group on my deck at the pre-rally cookout) not to mention the raffled off items that Gene made (that were crated up) if we hauled any more stuff ...it would have had to be piled up on the roof !

OK, here's a suggestion for next year. During registration (sign-in, or whatever you call it) each bike should have it's rider/passenger stand next to it for a quick picture to be posted later, or even during the rally! Don, this would help with your album of owners and their rides, too. And, talk about filling up pages of the VV!
Was there a trophy for longest distance attendee? Who? Sounds like Don and Trish might be in competition for that one. Anyone from Florida? Canada?
