K N Air Filter
For you KN air filter owners, Do you have to keep oiling the filter thru out the riding season?

Re: K N Air Filter
It's only oiled when it's washed out, so frequency is dependent on riding conditions and miles ridden. Should then be careful not to over oil the filter as excessive oil can be drawn into the fuel system and will stick to parts...in my experiences.

Re: K N Air Filter
Had one on my 1979 Honda 750 (owned from 2006 - 2010). Rode with it for 3+ years, 12,000 miles. Short answer: good for 50,000 miles before needing to be cleaned, unless riding a dirt bike (filter is rated to last 1,000,000 miles -- yes, 1 million miles... with cleanings every 50k). Long answer: check it every year, but you'll likely go 50k before needing to clean, and oil, the filter.
A Uni foam filter, and proper filter oil, are less expensive, and nearly as good. For future reference. Cheers!
