Oh, I hate you, hate you, hate you! It's just inhuman to wave several really nice 1300's under the nose of somebody who can't afford any more! And I thought my picture of my two sitting side-by-side was impressive, but three of them sitting near each other is just plain beautiful!
Anybody want to loan me the $6000 to pick this batch up! I could pick the best for myself, then get back all of my money, plus some, by selling the other two and some of the spares.

Yes I agree .I am going to keep am eye on them and see if either drops in price by the fall.
Either would be nice if they are in the claimed conditions .Mine is in very good condition for what I paid for it but I think these are even better.Show stoppers

Bill, most guys with sidecars spend extra time and money maintaining their rigs due to the unusual stresses that a sidecar imparts. New wheel bearings are a must every couple of years, for one thing. Checking steering head bearings frequently is also mandatory. Fluids and brake pads are also watched closely.
So, bottom line is, most tugs are better maintained than their usual solo counterparts. That sidecar rig appears to be well set up, accessorized and maintained. To go so far as to color-match the car to the bike means the owner really cared about his equipment. That car is well worth over a couple grand, as is the trailer. The only issue I would have is the mountings. I would need to see detailed pics of the sidecar-to-bike mounts.
That would be so cool if you ended up getting that rig! But, I bet it won't last long for sale!
I sure hear ya about other bikes looking better than what I already have, too! My '85 is pretty nice (when cleaned up!), and my '84 is even more amazing, but both of the bikes in those ads look absolutely perfect from the pics. So did my '84 from it's pics!. But, an '86 with only 5k miles is almost unbelievable. That can be good and bad. Sitting isn't good, for man nor bike! But, it appears that it was well protected and treated. And, a nice Hannigan or old Bingham sidecar could be attached and color-matched to produce a beautiful rig.
So, don't THINK about it, Bill! Just do it! DO IT!!!

See, you have an advantage since I am doing some patterns and drawings to replicate the "leading-legs" steering adapters to make the 1300 steer easier with a car. For about $25 in steel, I can make up another set.
Maybe we could make up a mechanical arm to do the waving.....!

I sure do love riding MY 1300/6 Voyager....even though I just got back from a long week of riding to the rally,the next morning I fired up the 1300 and took her out for a long ride ! I think she was mad at me for choosing the XII to ride to the rally......but I think she forgives me now after this long ride

Hey, you can NEVER have too many 1300's! So many people say they wouldn't know what to do with Bill Gates' billions! Heh, heh, heh, I know EXACTLY what to do with it! First, a huge barn to hold them all, then a big truck to drive all around the country to round them up! Voyagers and Terraplane sidecars!

My buddy bought this treasure trove August of 2017. The three bikes also came with a parts bike and boxes and boxes of parts. He already had an 85 ZN, so kept the other 85, parts bike and parts. I bought the two 84s from him. We're looking forward to the weather to warm up here in Ontario, Canada, so we can do some minor wrenching on them to get them ready for the road this season. I'm pretty excited to ride these beasts, but am at least mildly concerned about handling the massive heft and bulk of this bike. My most recent riding has been almost solely my 2005 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100, weighing in at about 560 lbs wet. I'm new to the forum as a member as of today...first post. Any riding tips would be appreciated. I've been riding for over thirty years, so general riding experience is not an issue. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Congratulations .Your buddy is right .This is this most comfortable bike I have ever owned .
You will find them labor intensive but it is worth the extra effort .
