1200 voyager fuel line

Post by teamster6 »

Hi new to the forum. While changeing the fuel pump on this 1200 voyager the line popped off from the carb end.
After replaceing the pump ill be darned I cant see where it plugs into the carbs. The hose is only about a foot long and only reaches a few areas so you would think it would be easy to see but I cant find the location or its somehow hidden.

The hose goes to a tee located smack dab in the middle of the carbs just above float bowl/carb body line. This tee connects the #s 2 and 3 carbs and is below the throttle operating mechanism, activated by the 2 cables, on the top of the carbs.
The portion of the tee the fuel line mounts to is Black in colour and is plastic/synthetic.
So, hopefully the end of the hose barb portion didn't break off from the tee. That would be a lot of work to repair!

thanks for the info! I saw this up inside there with a flashlight but determined kawasaki would not be dumb enough to put it up inside there so you would not be able to change the fuel line.

What throws me is the line would have to go under the air box and is about 3 inches too short to even reach the nipple. The nipple sticks out horizontal and up inside there I cant see how you could ever wiggle the hose back on without pulling the airbox and a bunch of stuff off. What a poor design. i think these were designed as a work on by dealer only!
