Re: About the 2017 Rally
Why Monday through Thursday? Guess it's ok for those that are retired, but not everyone is that lucky.

Re: About the 2017 Rally
The weekends are for traveling to and from the rally, and the weekdays are for visiting with friends and exploring the neighborhood. That seems to work best for the working people.

Re: About the 2017 Rally
Just curious but how do you pick the place for the next rally ? A place where someone has already been and suggest, do all the board members vote or do the members at the rally vote ? I am not complaining about anything. I was just curious to learn more.

Re: About the 2017 Rally
All I can tell you is that the board members pick the site and the members attending have no idea where it will be until the announcement at next years closing ceremony. I think that they may consider suggestions made by the membership for future rally locations. I had heard in the past that rally locations are picked two years in advance of the year that they are held there due to the planning that goes into holding a rally.

Re: About the 2017 Rally
I'm thinking of 6 East and 160 West home. Each way about 2400 miles.
Wondering how many days/nights I should plan on, so it's not just a race to the destination.

Why take 80 East and 40W I wonder? Same 2400 miles - 35 hours straight
Looks like both roads have a lot of history and visual appeal.

Hoping to pick up some rider from our club, otherwise may need to wait till the 30th Anniversary instead.
Do we still get new Dunlaps for "Longest '1,' and '2' Ups?" Cause I'll need new rear when this one concluded

Re: About the 2017 Rally
I was wondering if anyone checked into the cabins .
I was considering a cabin until one couple asked "How many bathroom/showers"
I would probably enjoy being in a cabin with one or two other couples , But only one bathroom /shower would be a deal breaker.

Re: About the 2017 Rally
I would love that the Rally next year be here in Louisiana. I could attend one if that happened. April and May and October through November are perfect weather times with low temperatures and low humidity. Would love meet all of you.
