I am assuming the EP34 is a relay for operating LED lights? It should work fine. If you need help replacing it, YouTube has a video. Just type in EP34 in Youtube's search bar.

Are you asking me? 1 relay controls all four turn signal lamps.

My guess is that the sockets in the rear are wired backwards. LED bulbs are polarity sensetive and incandesant bulbs are not. It's not uncommon for the OEM wiring harnesses to be wired backwards for this reason. Turn you bulbs around in the sockets and see if they light up.

krasmu is right. an LED is a diode which only allows electricity to flow in one direction. If they wont light it may be necessary to flip the wiring.

The bulb that came out only had one dot on the bottom ,would that make a difference? A two dot bulb like 1157 would not fit in the socket.

You need to check the polarity of the wiring.

check your socket. A two dot bulb is for lights applications where one bulb runs both running and turn/brake lights. Typically this bulb and socket will have offset pins so that they can only be installed one direction. This is so the correct circuit is opperating at all times. A single dot bulb will have pins that are even and can be installed in either direction. If you install a single dot bulb into a two dot socket, you will create a short.

The signal lights on the rear of the bike are 1156 (single contact) bulbs. They do not have a running light mode and only turn on when the signal lights are active.

If the old incandescent bulb works. The circuit and socket are working. Did you check the polarity of the wiring of the socket? The brass socket housing should be the ground and the "dot" in the bottom should be positive. If they are wired backwards of that an LED will not light. But the old build doesn't care about polarity and will light.

Just installed all LED's in mine, except for headlight and the instrument cluster. Also installed an EP34 Relay Unit -- worked great, but my 1156 Rear Turn signal socket, left side, was wired backwards for polarity. Once I reversed it, the LED worked perfectly. Cheers!
