Morning all! Just picked up a 2009 Kawasaki VV and have been reading the forum posts to learn about the bike. I'm in Benbrook, TX on the south side of Ft Worth.

Been riding on and off for 60 years, but since retiring a couple of years ago I've been at it full bore ... 4 bikes in the past couple of years moving from a Suzuki C50 to the Voyager. I ride with local chapter of the Star Touring organization which means more long trips and I wanted a bike suited to the type of travel.

I've only got maybe a 150 miles on the bike so far, but really like it! Looks good, rides well, fits well and the cruise control is very cool.

Welcome to the AVA Gary ! :woohoo:

We hear a lot of guys with a similar story about not riding for awhile ....then getting back into it bigger than before ! Nothing wrong with that at all ! I remember one spring about 20 years ago ,in the middle of raising a family, moving into a new house, working 3rd shift maintenance in a steel plant, mortgage payments, car payments :tho:
I put a new rear tire on my Goldwing, rode it down to the gas station to fill the tank and back home, and that was my only ride that year ! :gig: Life has a way of coming at ya sometimes !

Oh yeah....isn't having a bike with cruise control great ?

Welcome to the club. I also took a 25 year. Take from riding. Now I live on my bike. If I can take it I do.
