Re: Bike Games

Gosh darn it .... Did I buy yet another basket case ?............. Well, here you see where the latest bike purchase has morphed into !
Yeah, I have the stock airbox now , and after extensive testing .....I now am installing the dynojet stage 3 jet kit into this bike, just could not accept the 1980's "lean" existence ! WOW what a difference when ya set em up flowing some fuel ! also.....2 teeth UP on the countershaft sprocket, and DOWN 6 teeth on the rear sprocket will make this lil' 250 worthy of highway speeds ! I had er out on the expressway ,and realized , at 65 mph.....she was ALL DONE !

I am gonna still try to make it possible for Alisha to RIDE this bike ALL the way to the rally next June, cause the way it was set up from the factory, I wouldn't ride this bike any further than across town ! ....I know, It's a 250 !

Re: Bike Games
Looks like you have another full project bike on your hands, but if I know you, it will be special and done right when it is completed. She will love it.

Re: Bike Games
Tony,I checked out the specs on that 250,and found they got 33 HP out that little engine
I am impressed,my 450 Suzuki was only 44 with almost twice the cc.Now I see why you said it will handle highway travel

Re: Bike Games

I went out in the workshop at 7 am labor day and put the 250 eliminator all back together , installing the dynajet kit and changing the gearing. what a pain in the ass having to unbolt the entire exhaust system, just to get the countershaft sprocket off that bike !

that lil' 250 gets up and screams now !

here is a look at the airbox intake boots that are quite unique to this bike, what a difference in performance, now that they are back in place ! I read somewhere that top speed was 87 MPH on this bike @ 11,000 rpm

Re: Bike Games
That airbox looks like it has velocity stacks built into it!
Kawasaki must have wanted a rather high performance out of a 250
If that runs that good, the ninja 500 must be pretty strong for an entry level cruiser.
