Sorry, but I'm new to the Voyager and with that comes a bunch of potentially %$@#!* questions.
Speedo hub parts ordered so one issue is scrtached - next
When I start my bike the radio resets to an AM station and I lose the clock settings. Is there a quick fix, or even a fix, for this?
TIA, Tom
Also, where would find the temp sensor and how would I go about getting to it?
More to come I'm sure

Re: Radio Help needed
I may be incorrect here but if the radio is resetting with each start then it sounds as though the 1 amp fuse, which provides power to the radio's memory backup, is either blown or there is corrosion of either the fuse holder or the fuse ends, or both.
The 1 amp fuse holder is the smaller of the 2 located at the rear of the radio unit.
The temperature sensor is located on the under side of the thermostat housing, which is visible once the battery has been removed. It is under the RH side of the battery holder bottom frame and the sensor is that little brass stub which is barely visible. Clean it up, and the female wire connector which pushes onto it, and you should then have a good pathway for a working sensor to transmit it's signal. Hemostats come in handy for this job!
Good luck,
Dave

Re: Radio Help needed
To get there I would assume I have to take off the front fairing trim under the windshield and the piece around the headlight? And it most likely will be found under the headlight - correct?triton28 wrote:I may be incorrect here but if the radio is resetting with each start then it sounds as though the 1 amp fuse, which provides power to the radio's memory backup, is either blown or there is corrosion of either the fuse holder or the fuse ends, or both.

Just as expected - I found it! Shot and soon to be replaced

Re: Radio Help needed
The square-ish painted trim can be removed without removing the chrome windshield garnish. Once the 2 under screws have been removed, carefully ease the bottom of the piece towards the front and gently tilt it up so that the 2 tabs on the top of it lower and disengage from the 2 slots of the upper cowling halves. Be gentle and take take care to remove this as the tabs and/or the slots the tabs fit into are not overly robust and as such can easily be broken.
Once the painted surround is removed, the headlight unit can be removed to provide access to the radio fuses.

Re: Radio Help needed
Tom, before removing the headlamp for the fuse's on the radio's tuner. open the fuse box. and check the 3 amp fuse on the left side. If it is missing or blown replace it . When doing so ; check the trunks lamp as it is on the same circuit. And may have been removed because of issues with it being shorted out or staying on ( killing the batt. )triton28 wrote:I may be incorrect here but if the radio is resetting with each start then it sounds as though the 1 amp fuse, which provides power to the radio's memory backup, is either blown or there is corrosion of either the fuse holder or the fuse ends, or both.

I sent you a private message on some easy ways to troubleshoot the gauge.
Also get registered for a parts house ( such as Partzilla.com ) so that you can go online and view their parts diagrams and get familiar with items on your bike and where they are located.

Re: Radio Help needed
Its also common for the wire in the sheathing to fracture about 1" from either end of the fuse holders.
If neither the 1amp inline or the 3amp in the faux tank fuse box fis the problem, then look for the break in the cable..
If all else fails, give me a call and I'll talk you through it or yuo can send it to me and I'll fix..
Cheers..
