Americade Experiences ??
Well, we've got our room reserved for the AVA rally and are also considering attending Americade for the first time ever next year. Between n the two, hopefully we can rack up some decent miles this summer (rally is only about 3 hours away, Americade a day and a half or so).
Just wondering where you have enjoyed a nice stay for a reasonable amount and what events, sights, etc., we should not miss as Americade first timers. We don't expect to spend a lot of time in the room and are willing to be a few miles out but the number of choices are pretty large so any past experience info will be appreciated. Also, should we figure on being there from start to finish? Thanks in advance for any tips, etc.

Thanks for asking the question, I also plan on attending Americade for the first time. I talked to Keith at the Mid-Atlantic Voyagers ride in, who has attended a few Americade's so Keith, chime in.
I also spoke to Phil from Ohio and he's planning on attending. There should be a good number of AVA members there.

Not familiar with Americade, what is it, where is it, and when is it. Planning on going to Myrtle Beach in may for their bike week, and Wing Ding in Texas in Aug. Might be up for a rally in between those two if it's in decent riding distance.

Yes NEAL , As I looked thru that list of brands offering free demos, that was the first thing that came to mind ! Kawasaki does not do a heck of alot of advertising or promoting sales of their bikes ...... not like back in the " good ol days"..............

When I read thru the info on their website ....somewhere in there I think I remember reading numbers being 100,000 to 200,000 attendees......it sounds like one big congested traffic jam.

Re: Americade Experiences ??
Not any more. Although it never was that big, it did draw nearly 40,000 back a few years ago. Now I believe they're hoping for around 15,000

Re: Americade Experiences ??
...still looking for comments from recent Americade attendees regarding what the first timer should not miss, which days are best (or all), and reasonably priced decent places to stay.
Thanks,

Probably just go to the web page and see what events run which days and go from there.
