Can anybody help me get the Kaw part # for the 24t gear? 23t corrected my problem down to 5mph fast, from 12-15 mph fast...
Thanks,
Tim

Re: Speedometer Error fix
all you need is a speedometer drive off of a 600 ninja 95-96 it will fit right on and is 2 teeth different will give you about 8-10 mph correction.
But it will throw off the odometer.
the link below is one on ebay

Re: Speedometer Error fix
Yes, thanks, I already did the 23t change-over, brought the correction down from 15mph to 5mph, now need the 24t to bring it down another 5mph...don't know how to look up individual Kaw parts, hoping somebody with more experience can help out...
Thanks.
Tim

Re: Speedometer Error fix
stock is 25 teeth so if you go up to 24 teeth from 23 teeth you will be heading in the wrong direction, your indicated speed error will be closer to the erroneous start point of 15 mph error.
My speedo which is in metric kilometers is still off by 8-9km/h with the 23 tooth gear, which is about 5 mp/h in imperial measurement.
Stay with the 23 tooth and make a mental note of what the dial truly represents. JMHO,
Dave
