I recommend UClear unit. Boomless and I love mine. Phone calls and intercom clear and loud at highway speeds. Around $190 each.

Well you are ahead of me. I bought my bike way back in 2009 if I remember correctly, and have just now gotten all the goodies I always wanted for it. I am not into a lot of bling but I did manage a bid on he front fender railing with lights and now I have acquired the chrome fender skirt from a very nice man in southern New Jersey. It has only taken me what, 12 years??

With a few bikes under me I normally go for the safety add-on stuff: lights, horns, crash bars etc.. I forgot that I also picked up a set of baker wings - fell in love with these on my Concours. But what drives the trailer is, well, my dogs. I have 2 small 14-20 pound dogs that will be traveling with my on longer trips. I am planning on using the trailer to either rig it into a pet hauler or.. use the frame and wheels to create a really cool trailer that will have storage for camping gear as well as the dogs... will know more when I put everything together...

OK, started to install the trailer hitch tonight. I have everything figured out except for how in the world you install the upper bracket to where the upper saddlebag bolt is. The only this I could guess at is that you need longer bolts where the treads would extend enough to bolt there.. Any help would be great thanks

... NOT an expert rider, but I don't think you will find the Voyager to be a
slug in the back roads.... just sayin'.....

Oh no quite the contrary. In a speed test the Voyager from a standing stop was only beaten by the 1800 Goldwing. She beat out Harleys and several other machines. I wish I had kept that article. I rode last weekend in a road rally and never had a problem keeping up with any machine there and that included a Kawasaki 1400.

Read that while I was looking. Can't wait to ride if the snow would stop. Yet, because of the snow I am not crying doing my mods that would put it up on the lift for a few weeks anyway...

Well, it's begun. Got the bike home and started to get into the work. Got the trailer hitch on just to get everything in and out of the way. Then started at the front and did not make it to far. So far I have a front brake job to do and the choke does not move at all. The lever works too easy so I guess that it is not connected but I cannot move the cable as well.

Started to pull the carbs but with the low temp the boots are a solid as steel. Hold off on these until the weekend when I can have the time with the hair dryer. Have no clue how I will get the throttle cables off and then hooked back up when I get them back. Unlike the Concours it doesn't seem that there is enough play in them to move them to get at them...

It looks like I'll need to pull the fairing to get at the choke cable - ugh....

Sort cuts, ideas etc.. are always helpful

Also, I am thinking of selling the Corbin w/ backrest. Never installed and missing the small brackets that go to the factory bolts. Everything else if there.

Sqilbert14,as part of my winter service this past winter,I changed all my cables.I tied the end of the old cable to the opposite and of the new with kite string to pull them into place.I was pleased how well they pulled into place that way .Yes,I did have the fairing off.

Well, got the bike torn apart. Trailer hitch on , new trailer wiring harness of almost on, picked up the lower fender running/brake light that I will wire in with the trailer lights and a custom dynamics LED license plate bracket. Have the carbs off to get sent out now for the new "to do's"

Found that the choke cable if broke and needs to be replaced.. now to find one...
Needs front brakes...

Bike Bandit's part number for the choke cable is 54017 @ $26.20.It is labeled as a starter cable.If that is the only cable you are changing,that can be done with the fairing in place.
