Post by Tonyvdb »

Polaris has decided to shut down production of its Victory motorcycle brand and will now focuse on Indian and Slingshot
I actually liked the look of their bikes and even considered one once.

I just read that. Victory gave HD some competition but apparently in this rough economy people are preferring used bikes or bikes like HD that have a lot of accessory options. When a motorcycle costs more than a sub compact car, people are reluctant to spend their money on a chancy brand.

Well NEAL......At the rate that you put miles on a bike, you may run your current 2002 up to a quarter million miles .,and still have time left to acquire and wear out a Victory bike as well ! .... :gig: ....................................Tony :-D

The motorcycle show was here this weekend and I stopped by the victory booth. The dealer owner talked to me for a bit and staited that he would offer 84months warranty and 0percent interest payments on all remaining stock. I almost opened up my wallet as he had one at the show in red 2017 Victory vision touring at $20'000CAD ($15'500USD)
But I didn't, as I have other things I need to address at home this summer including a new roof on the house.

Sad but true, I will continue to ride the Voyager XII for now and love it.
