Re: AVA Facebook Group
It's good to see a FB group, I think. Just a reminder that not everyone does FB. I don't and never will. I'm concerned that it might become a replacement for the AVA website or at a minimum split the conversations between the two. I like that all of the energy is currently directed to one location, here. I just hope that this site doesn't slowly fade away having been replaced by FB.
Just a thought. Ride safe.

Re: AVA Facebook Group
I totally under stand your concerns. There is nothing quite like a forum to tie everything together and having a solution. Facebook could be a constant re-posting of issues but with our Facebook group at least we can redirect the to the forum for a solution and in the process hopefully have more traffic through the website and acquire more users. It is just like I have seen users looking for parts in the the user group that I'm a user in and after a few days it get's buried and soon for gotten where if they would post it in the Classified section the exposure is more right up front

+ a gazillion!!! Being a closed group may be this groups salvation, a general open group, IMHO, will turn inton0nab wrote:It's good to see a FB group, I think. what I think of Facebook, trash. You cannot believe one thing you are reading... on this forum, you can
believe what you are reading - and if it's misleading - a clarification will soon follow... very valuable. JM2C

Re: AVA Facebook Group
There was already a Kawasaki Voyager 1200 group on FB. Mostly a "who's who" from the AVA Forum, but alot more of the international folks. In my opinion FB is EVIL. That being said, I do use it, also. My thoughts.....get the FB crowd to join the Forum and not the other way around. Redundancy can be an evil disease that can kill the best of venues. The forum should be the "Top Cat" forum that all other venues are refered to.
Just my 2cents.

Re: AVA Facebook Group
I also look at the FB page. But the best and right info is on this website. To me the people who are AVA are like family and friends I can trust. I don't feel that on FB. Just my opinion ! Thanks !

Re: AVA Facebook Group
I do not use, like or trust facebook as an information source,
too many post that do not hold up under a fact check. Trash in = trash out.

Friends don't let friends do stupid stuff (alone)
