Can't ride Grrrrrr

Post by Retnavy83 »

Looks like my riding season's over for the year. Thought I had knee issues, but found our I need the left hip replaced. Can't put much weight on that side. Only had 2 rides before issue came up. Just put new battery and plugs in the beast and now can't ride. Grrrrrr! :cry2:

That is a bummer, :cry2: I have my shoulders going bad,and am trying to get advice on treatment for that issue. :hmm: I need to try to make it through the work season, then see what I can get done in the off season December -March.I still ride but it gets painful after 1 1/2 hours,we did a 2 1/2 hour ride today preparing for Nashville, and my friend,BenGay helped  I used to think that stuff was just for old people  :rolling:

Sorry to hear that you need to get your hip replaced is does suck that it is being done at the start of the riding season. Hopeful you have a speedy recovery and by fall you may get a ride in. I don't know the time frame on recovery.

Praying for recovery and healing. I know how it feels, I had back surgery done April 26th and was told to stay off the bike until May the 28th. Next several days are to be in over 80 degrees. As we get older we start to fall apart. A old friend told me one time this: If I knew I was going to live so long , I would have taken better care of myself. Maybe you can still get to Nashville, still good to get together. ohiojack

Retnavy83,
Ever since you posted about needing hip replacement,I have been trying to remember who I knew that had already had a replacement :hmm: .I finally met him Yesterday, and asked him about the results.I found out he had both done, the first needed two updates, the second was already the updated model and he had that done quite a few years ago,and it is doing fine. I also asked him about rehab, and he said only about 6 weeks. If yours goes that well you could still have most of your riding season ahead of you for the year. :woohoo:
Keep us posted on your progress.
