SADDLEBAG LATCHES 1700

when I picked up my new 1700 the salesman said I should push down on the chrome latch/lock area on the saddlebag lid
doing this has resulted in hearing a audible "click" when it latches. the only question is--have both latches engaged and I hear one "click" or just 1 latch engaged
In order to make sure that both latches are engaging I have started pushing down in front of the chrome latch/lock and hearing the first "click"
Then I simply push down on the rear side of the chrome latch/lock area and listen for the 2nd "click" this assures me that both latches are actually engaged
I'm sure this seems like nit picking but I would guess that there are members out there riding down the highway with only 1 of their latches actually doing the job
