1700 Valve Tapping
My 2017 1700 seems to have a valve tap this morning primarily on the front cylinder. Current temp about 40 F deg. Bike has 4000 miles ,enguine is up to temp and oil level is good. Has anyone noticed this in colder weather. Never noticed this in warm weather. Bike started normally and is running. See short video attachment. Thanks for the advice.

Re: 1700 Valve Tapping
Well, I notice it in all weather.......but not all the time. It's quiet, then I hear valve noise etc.
Just check your oil, do the oil changes when due, and ride. These bikes are like tractors, they just keep running.

Re: 1700 Valve Tapping
When I first got my 2011 1700. It was making a lot of tappet and engine noise. Not to start a oil thread, but I tried amsoil and a Napa gold filter, the noise is gone!!! The bike has 6000 miles since oil change. No more noise. Just saying. ohiojack
