Re: TPMS for <$50...
After waiting patiently for 2 and half months for me to get my unit from an Ebay seller I requested a refund to my paypal account for the money. They finally refunded me. I then went to Amazon.com and discovered they had the exact unit, cheaper and with my Amazon Prime they shipped it in 2 days. Ebay sellers have never screwed me before this one but this character kept emailing me wanting me to give him a 5 star rating. What a joke. Anyway I installed the unit and mounted it on the left storage compartment door. It seems to work well however I have only gotten to ride the bike twice since I installed it. The unit is rechargeable using a usb cable. Since I already installed 2 usb ports on the left side where the original little door sat. The sensors on the wheel have to have their little batteries replaced. I hope it lasts as much as a year between changing.

Re: TPMS for <$50...
Sorry to hear your troubles, Gentlemen. I have not had any issues with mine, so far. Glad to hear, however, that an alternate source is available on Amazon. Haven't ridden in weeks, haven't checked the gauge in weeks, either. I'll re-visit the whole, in the Spring. Need to moth-ball my bike soon. Cheers!

Re: TPMS for <$50...
I finally got around to installing my TPMS. I noticed the threads that screw into the receiver were 1/4 inch american. So I took a long bolt and ground the other end to roughly 4 mm diameter, then tapped some metric threads that were the same as one of the bolts for the speaker grill. Worked great. As I continued to work on the bike I noticed the receiver would wake up the unit and display the pressures. Well after a few more days past, I decided to program the high & low pressures as well as change it to fahrenheit instead of celsius. So now it doesn't read anything and doesn't wake up. I assumed it lost track of the sensors, so I attempted to reprogram the front one. It seems to recognise it and I follow the directions to save, but it goes back to not displaying anything. The directions aren't very good. The bike is parked deep in the shop with no easy way to do a quick road test to see if things wake up. Plus I'm not quite done with the winter servicing. Is what I'm experiencing normal? Can you guys wake up the receiver with the bike stationary sitting in a nice warm garage? Can someone provide better instructions on how to program the unit?

Re: TPMS for <$50...
I purchased one of these units and could not get it to set so after haggleing with vendor I got $ back. kept unit and played with it and found that the "yoke" that holds the set button is to thick on that end and will not let the button make contact so I filed it down and works but have not had enough time to see if it will work correctly. Got tired of messing with it.

Sorry to hear that, Nails. Mine were still working last Fall, when I moth-balled the bike for the Winter. I'll see in a month, or two, if they're still working. Mine worked out of the box, without issue. I hope your units work perfectly for you, for a year, or more. Cheers!

So I walked away from this problem. Came back the next day and everything works as expected! I'm looking forward to having a visual on the T P this year.
