I joined FB back in November of 2018 to keep up with the Retreads of South Jersey because that’s the easiest way to communicate with everyone especially because this club schedules weekly rides every week of the year. I found 2 Facebook groups dedicated to the 1700s, they are Kawasaki 1700 Voyager Owners 1700 Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager Riders I check these groups out and most of the conversations revolve around stuff like tires, accessories, maintenance problems etc. I’ve also noticed that some riders are looking for others to ride with and most of these guys didn’t know about us and therefore the rally in Summersville. While at the rally I posted a few pics on their sites to spark interest in the AVA. Although we have a FB site it sees little use. By cross-posting pics and articles, a lot of people now have a clue we exist. As wonderful as the earlier Voyagers are( I really want to ride one someday) sadly the numbers are slowly dwindling as all do and the long term future of the AVA lies with the 1700s. I think it’s in our best interest as a club to get our faces out there using this medium. That said I urge you all if you're on FB to use it to help promote the club and bring in new members to ride with at the next rallies. This website is a great medium and well done but people have to know to look for it. I joined the AVA before I joined FB, I just googled Voyager owners group and the AVA came up. But FB is easy and free advertising. Post some good rally pictures and show them what they missed. Let’s get the word out. Hope you all agree, Steve Gallagher
