well now if it's closer to you, then it's further for us here on the East Coast! Wasn't last year's rally out West somewhere?

Good list but think Hurley, WI and Nashville, IN Midwest and Kerrville, TX SouthWest for sure
I can agree the Kerrville TX could be considered South West but we have never had a classification as a South West. We have only and them classed as Eastern, Western and Midwest

Santa Fe and Especially Kanab were volcanoes. HOT! That's why I suggested Northern CA, Northern NV, Idaho, etc. These are all great places to ride, I've been to all of them as well aw Washington and Oregon. Cool enough to ride in in the late summer months. Estes Park CO was also a great place to ride, great weather there, and the traffic not as crazy as Ca.
Has this group ever had a western rally?

Actually there are only two rallies that I'm aware of that were labeled as Western rallies. Those were actually put on by AVA clubs I do believe. One was in 2011(put on by the Gem State Voyagers) Held at Wallowa Lake State Park Oregon and 2013 ( put on by the NorCal Voyagers) held at Reno Nv. Also in 2011, there was a rally actually called the Midwest rally put on by the Illinois Prairie Voyages. And in 2012 a rally labeled Midwest AVA Rally was held in Kentucky.
Edit: The rallies listed in this post were regional rallies, not international rallies

That 'splains it, My first rally was at Kanab, UT in 2012.

The first rally I attended was in Cody, Wyoming in 2003. The next was Rapid City, S.D. in 2007. With the exception of the small regional rally at Reno in 2013.
There used to be many more local Voyager Chapters back when the VXII was being produced. So getting a local chapter to help out on the yearly national rallys was possible. Times have changed. It's true that the membership seems to be located east of the rockies. Also some of us old timers no longer look forward to 4 or 5 thousand mile round trips to national rallys. For us located west of the rockies, maybe we need an informal no host get together? I propose someplace where it stays below 80 degrees during the event? Maybe in the spring or fall?
I'd like to have it in Conway, NH next year all of the prework has been done.
Berry, I remember you at Reno. That was a fun event, how about late Oct in Tucson, AZ. I could make that and if I took the southern route it would still be warm. It's a 4,000 mile round trip for me, and I'm going to need some miles so that I can get my 200,000 mile plaque at the 2021 AVA Rally.
